Random Vectors

December 22, 2008

Here are some vectors that I’ve been working on. Not sure what I’m gonna do with them yet, just playin’ with style but, since I haven’t posted anything in awhile I though I’d throw these up.

Enjoy! – ShanesArt.com

Hey Everyone, I wanted to let you know that I was asked to submit an illustration for the “Back In Black: T-Shirt show” that Chris Parks (Palehorse.com) & Joshua Smith (Hydro74) are throwing on November 22nd in St. Petersburg Florida, Sponsored by Design by Humans. Above is the piece I submitted. Order one soon, they cost $18 + shipping and will only be available until Nov. 22nd.

Sadly, I won’t be able to attend the actual show but encourage anyone that can to do so. Below is the flyer for the show and a run down of what will be going on. Enjoy – ShanesArt

Basics
Hydro 74 and Pale Horse Design proudly present the “Back in Black” T-Shirt Exhibit – Showcasing limited-edition, one-color t-shirt designs by some of the world’s leading digital artists (who are the backbone of many of the major apparel brands we see today).
The purpose of this show is to highlight the artwork of the uncelebrated designers whose art you’ve probably been collecting in your closet for years, as well as to establish the t-shirt as a new medium for fine art.

The Exhibit
November 22nd from 4:00PM – 10:00PM @ Pale Horse Gallery – St. Petersburg, FL

During the exhibit
Attendees can check out original t-shirt designs by 20 of the best t-shirt artists/designers in the business. (Free admission)

If you like what you see, buy a t-shirt. You can purchase as many as you want. ($15 each)

Pick your t-shirt color, t-shirt size and design placement based on options available.
(Guys and girls sizes available. Colors and sizes available while supplies last.)

Your t-shirt is screen printed on site by Noah Deledda of Thx Mgmt.

Wear your art home!

No more work!

July 25, 2008

Me Madre’s last day at work was today and I wanted to congratulate her on not having to go to work for a while. Congrats, you big quitter!

Now, for the last seven days I’ve been creating desktops for her to use as kind of a countdown at work. The images below are what I came up with. Some of my first thoughts when thinking about numbers and counting down were of TV shows that I watched when I was a kid, like Sesame Street (#6) and School House Rock (#3). The others were just oddball images that popped into my head while counting. I know… weird. Any how, I think that they came out pretty well. Mom sure liked them! – S

This is IRONMAN!

April 24, 2008

Here is another work in progress that I hope to have finished before the movie is released. The final illustration will show him from the waste up. I started this piece about a week ago and have about 5 hours in on just the face. I’m very pleased with the results so far. This piece has really helped push my development in Adobe Illustrator. I’ve been using a few new techniques to shade and highlight that are bringing a more realistic feel to the piece. Hopefully the rest of the image comes out the same way. – S
